TIMELINE OF EVENTS

Events in bold are important to DA:V canon.
9:30 DA:
The Blight Begins. Aislinn Tabris, on her wedding day, kills Bann Vaughn's son and is recruited by Duncan into the Grey Wardens. Duncan and Tabris
Tabris becomes a Warden.
The Army is defeated by Darkspawn at Ostagar, and Loghain deserts. Flemeth saves Alistair and the Warden from the Tower of Ishal. Morrigan travels with the two to Lothering, where they gather the Chantry Sister, Leliana, and the Qunari, Sten, into their party. Dog is found along the way. Alistair, Morrigan, and Tabris discover Arl Eamon is sick.
Adrienne Hawke and her family flee Lothering at the last minute. The party meets Aveline and Ser Wesley. Bethany is killed by the Ogre, Ser Wesley dies from the Blight Sickness. Flemeth helps the Hawkes + Aveline escape Lothering and get to Gwaren, where they take a ship to Kirkwall.
Loghain declares himself regent, nearly triggering full out civil war within the Landsmeet.
The Warden sides with the Werewolves in "Nature of the Beast", and the Dalish Keeper Zathrian is forced to cure the Werewolves by the Warden.
Zevran attempts to assassinate the Warden and is recruited into the Party.
The Warden and Party travel to Redcliffe and discover it is under seige. They help Bann Teagan halt the attacks and clear Redcliffe Castle. There, they discover Connor is possessed, and the only way to keep him alive is to get help from the Circle.

Warden and party clear the Demons from the Circle and kill Uldred. Irving promises to aid them at Redcliffe and also during the Blight. Wynne joins the Party.
Morrigan asks the Warden to kill Flemeth. The Warden agrees and kills her, bringing Morrigan the Grimoire.
The Party returns to Redcliffe, and frees Connor from the Demon. Next,they head for Denerim to locate Brother Genetivi so that they can find the Urn of Sacred Ashes for Arl Eamon. They locate his whereabouts and make their way to Haven.
Party clears out Haven and with the help of Brother Genetivi, find the Urn of Sacred Ashes. They kill the Dragon and Dragon Cult located there, and take a pouch for Arl Eamon. Brother Genetivi is killed because he does not want to keep the Urn a secret.
Adrienne Hawke's name begins reaching higher ears as she makes her mark with the Red Iron Mercenaries.
Arl Eamon, with help of the ashes, revives. He tells of his plan to call a Landsmeet, after the dwarves are recruited to help the Blight effort.
Party reaches Orzammar and get caught in politics. Warden sides with Bhelen Aeducan and eliminates Jarvia, and also garners the help of other Dwarven nobles. Oghren is recruited before they go into the Deep Roads.
In the Deep Roads, the Party kills Paragon Branka in favor of Caradin. Caradin makes the crown and falls to his death into the lava. Warden and party take the crown and Bhelen is made King of Orzammar. He promises help to the Wardens.
Party returns to Redcliffe, then travels to Denerim with Arl Eamon. Erlina informs the Party that Anora is captive, and they rescue her. Her identity is not sold out to Cauthrien. The Warden and Alistair are taken to Fort Drakon, where they are saved by Zevran and Oghren.
Anora tells the Party about the unrest in the Alienage and convinces the Warden to help make her Queen during the Landsmeet. Warden stops the slaver operation and afterwards, aids several of the Banns and Arls in Denerim.
Landsmeet takes place. Anora is made Queen and Loghain is made a Warden. Alistair is furious and leaves the party, and becomes a wandering drunk.
Riordan tells Tabris and Loghain about the consequences of killing an Archdemon. Morrigan offers the Dark Ritual, and undergoes it with Loghain. She stays for the Final Battle, but leaves promptly after it is over.
Battle of Denerim begins, Riordan dies. With the aid of the dwarves, elves, and mages, the Warden and Party defeat the Archdemon. The Blight ends and Darkspawn are dispersed.
Tabris, Zevran, and Sten decide to travel to Seheron.
9:31:
Battle of Denerim begins, Riordan dies. With the aid of the dwarves, elves, and mages, the Warden and Party defeat the Archdemon. The Blight ends and Darkspawn are dispersed.
The Grey Wardens are erected a statue and given a small base in Denerim. The Elven Alienage recieves representation and the Dalish Elves are given the Korcari Wilds to settle.
Fergus Cousland assumes the title of Teryn of Highever. He marries a human woman, who was the daughter of a minor Ferelden Bann, Isadora. They have a child in 9:32.
Tabris, Zevran, and Sten decide to travel to Seheron.
Orlesian Grey Wardens are dispatched to Ferelden to help disperse the darkspawn that failed to return to the Deep Roads after the archdemon was slain. They are put under the command of Lieutenant Gable of Vigil's Keep. Kristoff leads the investigation, and is killed by the minions of an intelligent brood mother known as The Mother.
Events described in Dragon Age: Origins - Awakening begin. The Darkspawn Civil War begins.
The new Warden Commander of Ferelden, an Orlesian human rogue, arrives at Vigil's Keep. The Commander discovers the intelligent darkspawn and begins a quest leading to the discovery of the Archiect. All possible party is recruited. Vigil's Keep is restored to tip top shape and the Wardens defend Amaranthine when the Darkspawn attack.
Remaining darkspawn in Ferelden are purged by the Warden-Commander and the replenished Fereldan Wardens. The Darkspawn Civil War ends.
The Warden Commander surrenders the Arling to the control of a new Arl, but the Ferelden Warden base remains in Vigil's Keep. A new Keep is constructed in Amaranthine for the Arl.
The dwarves of Orzammar are able to reclaim the city of Kal'Hirol.
Amgarrak Thaig is overrun by harvesters. The Warden-Commander of Ferelden slays one of them and destroys the research.
The Circle of Magi in Starkhaven burns to the ground. Its survivors are relocated to Kirkwall, making it the greatest Circle within the Free Marches.
Qunari set out to meet Orlesians who agreed to return the Tome of Koslun to them. However, the book is intercepted by a pirate Isabela.
Following a storm, the Qunari ships sink at the coast of Kirkwall, and the Arishok and his surviving army are forced to stay in the Qunari Compound, untill the book is returned to them.
Hawke helps fund an expedition to the Deep Roads with Bartrand Tethras and Varric Tethras. They discover an ancient, pre-First Blight Primeval Thaig, and an ancient lyrium idol contained within.
The reconstruction of Lothering and destroyed parts of Denerim, and the Kinloch Hold Bridge begins at the end of the year.
9:32:
The Warden Commander tracks down Morrigan. Morrigan disappears through the Eluvian, and is later spotted in Orlais.
9:34:
The Arishok decides to attack the city of Kirkwall, and the First Battle of Kirkwall and the Second Qunari Invasion of Kirkwall take place.
Marlowe Dumar is killed by the Qunari.
Hawke defeats the invaders and is named "Champion of Kirkwall" by Kirkwall's Knight-Commander, Meredith Stannard.
The Knight-Commander takes up stewardship of Kirkwall and imposes tighter sanctions on the Kirkwall Circle of Magi.
Queen Anora begins a project intended to improve Ferelden. The Imperial Highway is repaved and new roads are contsructed within the next 5 years. The reconstruction of Lothering is complete and it is renamed "New Lothering". New Lothering becomes a large, bustling city and is a busy trading center.
Denerim is mostly remodeled, and a new Cathedral for the Chantry is underway. A University is commissioned to be built not too far from Denerim, on the coast not too far south.
9:37:
Anders destroys the Kirkwall Chantry, igniting the Battle of Kirkwall and inspiring mages throughout Thedas to rebel against the Circle system. The Mage-Templar conflict officially begins.
The Champion of Kirkwall kills First Enchanter Orsino and Knight-Commander Meredith Stannard during the Battle of Kirkwall, and later flees the city.
9:38-9:39:
Discontent with the Empress Celene I's reign sparks a civil war in Orlais.
The University in Ferelden is completed and opened.
The Chantry and Circle split in Ferelden. Anora dictates that the Chantry and government are to be separate, and grants mages legal rights. It is not placed into effect until after the Nevarran Accord was declared void.
The Circle of Dairsmuid in Rivain is annulled.
The College of Enchanters votes to separate from the Chantry.
Senior Enchanter Wynne sends out a letter to all Andrastian lands detailing a cure for Tranquil mages.
Anora Mac Tir declares Ferelden neutral in the Mage-Templar War before the Nevarran Accord is declared null and void. Haven, and many small towns in the Frostbacks are still destroyed in the chaos despite this declaration.
The Denerim Cathedral is complete,and the 'White Chantry' (separate from the state, has no control over mages) is born. Tourists spread its influence in countries close by.
Later in the Year, the Circle of Magi declares autonomy from the Chantry.
9:40 :
Following the dissolution of the Circle of Magi, the Nevarran Accord is declared null and void by Lord Seeker Lambert van Reeves. The Seekers of Truth and the Templar Order no longer follow the Chantry's orders.
Hawke's former companion Varric Tethras is interrogated by Cassandra Pentaghast, one of the few Seekers of Truth still loyal to the Chantry.
Both The Warden and the Champion have mysteriously disappeared.
9:41
The Empress Celene is killed, and a new Empress is raised to power. Aurore I, a cousin of the Grand Duc, is crowned Empress.
The Mage-Templar war is in full swing. Eastern Orlais, Southern Nevarra, and Western Ferelden, and the Southern Free Marches are all nearly destroyed in the chaos. The Antiva City and Hossberg Circle is anulled before they can rebel.
The White Spire and Circle of Montsimmard are anulled. Templars loyal to the Chantry take control of many Orlesian cities. The University of Val Royeaux is attacked and nearly burnt to the ground.
The Templars split into two groups.The Fraternities existing in all countries (save for Ferelden) are in conflict within themselves.
The Imperium is uneffected by all these events, except for the fact that Trade has .
9:42-9:44:
The Chantry officially denies the beliefs and practices of the White Chantry and it's followers. Conflict arises and many countries adopt the White Chantry, casting out the 'traditional' Chantry, which was later branded the Red Chantry. Ferelden, Nevarra, and the Free Marches run underneath the White Chantry. Orlais and the Anderfels run underneath the Red Chantry. The Imperuim continues to run underneath the Black Chantry. Antiva discards the Chantry but does not adopt the White Chantry. Rivain and Par Vollen remain the same.
White Chantry nations follow in the footsteps of Ferelden. Several institutions of higher education and improvements within cities are placed underway.
A War begins between Orlais and Ferelden in 9:43 as the former attempts to invade under Empress Aurore I. Redcliffe and Highever are nearly destroyed.
Ferelden forces drive the Orlesians from the lands by the end of the year. Anora Mac Tir dies fighting alongside her men in the Final battle. Fergus Cousland takes place as regent.
9:45:
A new Archon is appointed in Tevinter by the Senate.
The War between Mages and Templars is ended with what is called the Sacred Treaty in all nations by the White Chantry. Nations under the influence of the Red Chantry continue to have conflicts.
The Landsmeet in Ferelden decides that that Fergus Cousland and his wife, Isadora, are to be the King and Queen.
The reconstruction of Redcliffe and Highever begins promptly.
Orlais regains its strength, and begins planning to conquer Nevarra instead.
9:46
The reconstructions of Redcliffe and Highever are completed early in the year.
The University of Ferelden discovers a new continent across the sea, to the East.
